and bring in a host of hard to find individuals.
Activities. We did a management assessment of current staff, made recommendations on staff to be replaced,
and put into place a recruitment strategy to hire key personnel. Over a period of two years significantly upgraded staff which increased sales
and changed the ultimate direction of company. We also provided an outplacement program for exiting staff.
Status. The Company is currently profitable and positioned for a liquidity event in the near future.
Background. Large national management consulting firm needed to hire hard to find experts for their energy and utility practice.
Activities. We conducted a needs assessment, analyzed the marketplace and helped the firm think out of the box to find individuals
that would be a good fit for their client base. We identified creative resources and many thought leaders in the field to help us identify the best of the best energy professionals.
We helped establish long term, strategic alliances with Ivy League universities to provide an ongoing resource for the client.
We put together competency models for each position and designed a standard interview day that required the candidate to give a presentation.
Status. We placed a number of highly qualified candidates and established a strong pipeline of candidates for future hiring.
Background. A provider of specialized services to the pharmaceutical industry needed to add a highly knowledgeable
and skilled member to their sales team in order to increase the number of senior executive relationships they could manage.
Activities. We scoured a very diverse group of related industries to find someone with the right consultative selling skills.
We then interviewed each candidate in depth to eliminate those whose elf-promotional skills masked underlying performance weaknesses.
Status. The company hired an individual who brought instant credibility and greatly expanded the pipeline.
Background. A regional logistics company with a history of rapid growth had reached the limits of its founding investors’
ability to fund its future. A private equity syndicate was interested in taking the company forward, but knew the existing team lacked the depth needed
to upgrade systems and drive down costs while expanding within a highly competitive marketplace..
Activities. Venzyme was engaged to recruit new members to the team. In less than three months,
Venzyme found six superior executives to fill roles as COO, CFO, IT Director, and sales professionals. Our total fee for this project ended up being less than 13% of salaries.
Status. The Company is now achieving significant operational efficiencies and is poised to exploit major new market opportunities.
Background. International Sports Internet Company needed to hire a significant number of staff after the completion of a funding round.
Activities. We assessed current staffing levels, helped the company identify real needs, developed a recruitment strategy and filled
extremely difficult to fill positions cost effectively and within a short period of time. We helped integrate recently relocated international IT team.
We also implemented new human resource policies at the client to reduce legal exposure and put together an Interviewing training program for managers.
Status. The Company did not receive follow-on funding due to the market at the time and we developed an outplacement program to
downsize the company.
